The goal of Zipcode Village is to help foster meaningful connections between neighbors. By using zip code perimeters to define an extended neighborhood, users of Zipcode Village have a clear sense of which homes, businesses, parks, and churches can be found in their hyperlocal world.
The zip code becomes an easy-to-understand guiding principle that can be employed to define the critical smallest divisible unit of local people, places and ideas. The "village" of folks who share your zip code—everybody knows their own zip code—is the critical starting point for completing social tasks, such as planning a carpool, reporting a crime, exchanging info on hobbies, announcing a local cultural or sports event, or discussing a neighborhood issue.

You can browse through categories, and read and reply to postings. In addition, you can select "popular posts" ranked according to the number of recent comments made to each post.
Any post that includes a relevant specific location will automatically appear on an interactive map of the village. Any post that includes a relevant specific date or date-range will automatically appear on a village calendar. The village map and calendar become, in effect, master schedules for the community.
All community members (including individuals, families, or businesses) will be provided the opportunity to create a profile page, allowing for submission of photos, comments from others, and a list of your most recent announcements/post.
